About This Lodge

Trout Lake Lodge is a full-service American Plan fly-in fishing lodge located 30 air miles from Red Lake, Ontario. Owned by Jack and Heather Green since 1989. The lodge fishes a chain of three lakes: Trout Lake (86,010 acres), Otter Lake (4,893 acres), and Little Trout (9,047 acres) — totaling 99,950 acres of fishing water. Trout Lake alone has 383 islands. Features experienced guides, a professional cook (home-cooked meals), a tackle shop, 8 fully modern cabins (6 American Plan, 2 housekeeping), large silent generators running 24 hours, radio telephone communications, and a fleet of Lund boats with 15–25 HP Evinrudes. The lodge holds a record Lake Trout of 55 lbs. NOTE: The lodge website states it is currently CLOSED for the next season to update and prepare for future reopening.

Trout Lake (86,010 acres), Otter Lake (4,893 acres), and Little Trout Lake (9,047 acres) form a chain of three lakes totaling 99,950 acres. All three are spring-fed with crystal clear water, full of channels, weed beds, bays, reefs, and drop-offs. Trout Lake has 383 islands. Record Lake Trout of 55 lbs. Walleye found in shallow bays (6–12 ft) in spring; around islands (20–40 ft) in summer and fall.
